Om Parvat: Where Spirituality Meets Adventure 

Om Parvat is a sacred mountain in the Himalayas, located near the border between India and Nepal, in the Dharchula district of Uttarakhand.
The mountain stands at an elevation of about 5,590 meters (18,340 feet). The mountain is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, including glaciers, meadows, and picturesque villages. The mountain is said to be the site where Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati reside.  

Meaning Of Om Parvat

Om Parvat holds a profound meaning, symbolizing divine connection and spiritual resonance. Its name is derived from the “Om” (เฅ) symbol which is composed of three sounds: A, U, and M.
A (เค…): The first sound, “A,” represents the creation or the beginning. It is associated with the waking state of consciousness (Jagrat) and is believed to symbolize the start of the universe, the material world, and the energy of creation. It resonates with the element of Earth.
U (เค‰): The second sound, “U,” represents preservation or the continuation of life. It corresponds to the dream state of consciousness (Swapna) and is believed to be the force that sustains life and order. It is connected with the element of Water.
M (เคฎ): The final sound, “M,” represents destruction or transformation. It is linked to the deep sleep state of consciousness (Sushupti) and signifies the dissolution of the universe, making way for rebirth and renewal. It resonates with the element of Fire.

Best Time To Visit -

The best time to visit is from June to September, when the weather is relatively warm and clear.
Avoid visiting in winter (October to April), as the area experiences heavy snowfall, making roads inaccessible and trekking conditions very difficult.

By Air
1. Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) is the nearest airport, located about 268 km (167 miles) from Om Parvat.
2. Flights: Regular flights operate from major Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Kolkata to Dehradun.
3. From Dehradun: Hire a taxi or take a bus from Dehradun to Joshimath (about 285 km/177 miles, 10-12 hours).

By Road
1. Nearest Town: Joshimath is the nearest town, located about 45 km (28 miles) from Om Parvat.
2. Buses: Regular buses operate from Dehradun, Haridwar, and Rishikesh to Joshimath.
3. Taxis: Hire a taxi from Joshimath to Om Parvat (about 45 km/28 miles, 2-3 hours).

By Trek
1. Trekking Route: The trekking route to Om Parvat begins from Joshimath.
2. Trek Distance: The trek distance is about 45 km (28 miles), which takes around 2-3 days to complete.
3. Trek Difficulty: The trek is considered moderate to challenging, with steep ascents and descents.
