Char Dham Yatra: A Spiritual Quest to the Himalayas

Char Dham is considered a sacred journey that offers spiritual enlightenment, washes away sins, and grants liberation (Moksha). 
The term “Char Dham” literally means “four abodes” or “four pilgrimage sites.” This spiritual journey encompasses four holy shrinesโ€”Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinathโ€”each holding immense significance in Hindu mythology and tradition.       

The pilgrimage typically begins from Haridwar or Rishikesh and covers a distance of around 1,500 km.

Yamunotri: The Source of River Yamuna

Yamunotri is situated in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, India. It is nestled in the Himalayas at an altitude of 3,293 meters (10,804 feet) above sea level. It is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the goddess of the Yamuna River.

2. Dehradun Railway Station: Another option, located about 268 km from Badrinath, 251 km from Kedarnath, 226 km from Gangotri, and 196 km from Yamunotri.
3. Take a taxi or bus: From the railway station, hire a taxi or take a bus to reach your destination.

By Road
